This Cycle City event is to be hosted at the LV Velodrome, the most iconic building of London 2012, this latest event in the RTPI London’s centenary series brings together 4 people who are shaping the development of cycling across London.

Speakers:

  • Andrew Gilligan, the Mayor’s Cycling Commissioner who is working with TfL in the delivery of the Mayor’s Vision for Cycling in London, which includes creating an extensive network of Quietways and Superhighways throughout the capital.
  • Annette Jezierska, Business Development Manager, Sustrans, who will describe her work in influencing and shaping sustainable transport policy and infrastructure delivery throughout London
  • Paul Coates, Sports Development lead of the LVRPA who works with communities to introduce them to cycling at the VeloPark, and
  • Mike Taylor, Senior Partner, Hopkins Architects, lead architect on 2012 Velodrome and VeloPark who will give an insight into the design philosophy which informed the design of the Velodrome and VeloPark.

Places are limited and there will be a small of £10.00 to be made payable on the day to Lucy Barton.
